Secondly, young ACT Party leader and MP, David Seymour, has accused the Greens of doing ‘bugger all for the environment’ and being hypocritical over their MP’s spending on air miles.
It is the ACT Party Conference this week. ACT leader and MP, David Seymour has chosen an environmental theme for the conference. He has come out saying that it is ACT that cares about the environment. It is certainly not the Greens. His full comments can be found here
To hammer the point home he made comments in the media accusing the Greens of being hypocrites over their spending on air miles.
The Green Party are hypocrites given their MPs' spending on flights, Act leader David Seymour says.
Mr Seymour said the latest release of expenses shows that in October, November and December the average Green MP spent $7992 on air travel -- the highest average amongst political parties.
"Green MPs' expenditure on air travel is extraordinary for several reasons," said Mr Seymour. "These are the MPs who regularly tell us that climate change is the crisis of our time and we must reduce our emissions."
It could be heard loud and clear at the Auckland Council meeting on Thursday when the Generation Zero spokesperson was given far more than his allotted five minutes to spend his time accusing leafy suburb ratepayers of being selfish NIMBYs. He said the older generations were robbing younger people of their birthright to live in the said leafy suburbs. At no point did he address the fundamental issues of natural justice, democracy and due process that were at the heart of ratepayers’ objections. It was outright ageism.
Ageism is a well established cornerstone of Green Party policy. The Party has been trying to create inter-generational warfare for some time. I first became aware of it when hard left Green Party list MP, Denise Roche, was allowed to preach a sermon to schoolchildren at Waiheke High School where she lectured them that it was all the fault of the ‘old’ people that young people could not afford to own their own homes.
This inter-generational warfare is carried on on Twitter. Every time I write something critical of the Green Party’s underlying philosophy of Cultural Marxism, I am accused by Generation Zero twitterati of being ‘old’, ‘a has been’, ‘decrepit’. They never argue the facts but indulge in ageism and name calling instead.
Green philosophy is a toxic mess of political correctness. Anyone indulging in the brew will be poisoned.
