Associated Press has just announced the results of the New Hampshire primaries. Donald Trump has taken the Republican primary.
Although this was predicted it nevertheless makes a mockery of those who were saying he was a busted flush after he came second to Ted Cruz in Iowa.
Trump’s win was emphatic with nearly 34% of the vote. Cruz and Rubio were nowhere in sight.
Meanwhile Bernie Sanders thumped Hilary Clinton for the Democrats, winning by a 56.2% to 41.75% margin.
It appears the electorate is polarising, at least in New Hampshire. Voters are preferring candidates who hold strong conservative or liberal views and are not seen as being in the wishy washy middle. This is a world wide trend.
This is the most interesting American Presidency races in decades.
