The January meeting showed the two month break had done nothing to quell the skirmishes. Brown came out on top as Walden became increasingly exasperated by her overzealousness.
What’s behind this apparent split? It could be that both members have Green Party ambitions. It’s possible they’ve been told there’s only one seat reserved for Waiheke at the Green Party top table where they can sup with hard left Green Party list MP Denise Roche.
Or it could just be that Walden’s people management skills aren’t as good as he thought they were.
